Piper (Year 12) explains more:

Alisha studied at the University of Nottingham from 2018 to 2023. She also did an elective in Australia where she got to experience their healthcare system first-hand. Her job now involves both research and clinical work which she is enjoying greatly. 

She shared interview and application tips which included:

• Ensuring your personal statement fits the universities you are applying.
• Having a deeper understanding of the universities you are applying to and what attributes they look for in students (e.g. a sporty university would like someone who can join sports teams).
• INTERVIEW CRITERIA - knowing each university's interview criteria is a large part of being a successful interviewee.
• Know your personal statement inside out.
• Stay up to date with current news.
• Practise.

Her final words of wisdom were: 

Work smart, not hard. Medicine is a marathon not a sprint.
