They were challenged to design an illustrated, web-page report for teenagers to raise their awareness of NTDs and chose to explore chromoblastomycosis:

We decided to enter this competition for fun as we both have a big interest in Biology. We also wanted to learn more about microbiology as that is a specific part of Biology we enjoy learning about. The competition allowed us to explore the different ways people are affected by different diseases and this helped to widen our worldview in terms of illnesses in different parts parts of the world.
