STEM club review the use of AI in different subjects to help inform TGS' updated AI policy

STEM Club consists of Year 12 students studying various scientific disciplines, from Chemistry, to Computer Science, to Psychology. Students have brought together elements from their different disciplines to work towards a common goal: reviewing the use of AI in each subject in school and writing a research paper on it.

Throughout the year, they have conducted surveys school-wide in order to find out how much knowledge students currently possess on AI and how it works, and how it can be applied to schoolwork.

After reviewing the data collected, members of STEM Club and student leaders met with Mr. Barker, Dr. Marshall and Mrs. Maloney to review the current AI policy and determine how it can be adapted to embrace the ever-developing tool that is Artificial Intelligence, whilst still maintaining academic integrity. At present, the policy is being re-drafted and STEM Club are working on publishing their findings as a research paper.
