Congratulations to the GCSE Class of 2024 who are celebrating outstanding GCSE results ​​​​​​​​​

The average GCSE grade across all subjects was 7.7 with students achieving particularly strong outcomes in STEM subjects; results for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Design Technology averaged between grade 7.9 and 8.3.   

Mrs Crean, Head Teacher, commented “We are so proud of our Year 11 students. Through their hard work and determination, they have achieved outstanding GCSE results. It has been wonderful to see so many happy students opening their results, we were delighted to celebrate with them. Congratulations to everyone in Year 11 and we will look forward to seeing them again as they start their Sixth Form journey on the 4th of September”. 

Key points: 

  • 89% of the cohort achieved 5 or more grades at 9-7.     

  • 65% of students achieved ten or more subjects at grades 9-7.     

  • 82% of all GCSE grades were at grades 9-7.   

  • 62% of all GCSE grades were at grades 9-8. 

  • 8% of students were awarded ten or more grade 9s.  

  • 33% of students received ten or more grades 8 or 9.   

  • 17% of students were awarded all at grade 8 or 9.  

  • The estimated Attainment 8 score for the cohort is 79.3.
