New TGS Book Club brings parents and staff together to discuss Anne Youngson's 'Meet me at the Museum'

Last week the TGS Book Club met for the first time.  It was created to provide an opportunity for parents, staff, trustees and alumni to meet and discuss books.

It was such a pleasure to welcome everyone into the Library to share conversations about books and reading. We had a great mix of parents from across the school as well as current and former staff. This time we talked about Meet me at the Museum and tried to decide whether the protagonists do ever meet (and whether that matters!). We really enjoyed the opportunity to share candid thoughts on the book and allow ourselves to veer into other reading-related chats.

Next time, we will be discussing two non-fiction texts: Born a Crime and The Penguin Lessons. You are welcome to read one of both - we have included the latter as a more light-hearted option as we approach the busy Christmas period.

Lots of people have already expressed an interest even if they were not able to attend this time, so if you are interested in joining us in the future please complete the form here and we will send out more information.

The next meeting will be Wednesday 8 Jan in our library and we look forward to seeing lots of you there.
