TGS Careers Day 2025

On Wednesday 5 March, TGS hosted the annual Careers Evening for Years 10 to 13, and a new careers afternoon event for Year 9. This would not have been possible without our donors, sponsors, volunteers, the careers team, and of course the students who attended with such enthusiasm. Thank you all.

We are incredibly lucky and grateful to 70 volunteers from a diverse range of industries, TGS trustees, staff, alumni, parents and carers, and friends who volunteered their time and expertise and who generously shared their career journeys. Students learnt about the day-to-day responsibilities, required skills, and potential challenges of various careers. You inspired our students with your stories, and you are undoubtedly helping to shape their post-school decisions.

The careers programme at TGS is significantly enhanced thanks to everyone who generously gives to TGS Enrichment School Fund and thanks to our business sponsors: Alex Day Opthamology, Bond Bryan Architects, HMY Architects, Integrated Occupational Medicine Limited, MxM Communications and Warners Solicitors

These career events are a fantastic opportunity for our students to explore various career paths and gain valuable insights into their future possibilities. Exposure to careers in this way helps students understand the variety of options available to them and can spark interest in fields they may not have previously considered. Interacting with professionals allows the students to gain first-hand knowledge about different industries.

It was such a fantastic evening. I've never been to a careers event like this where the focus is on having a series of meaningful one to one conversations with such interesting professionals. I really appreciated the alumni, parents and friends of the school giving their time to talk to us".

A couple weeks ago I went back to my old school! Tonbridge Grammar School hosted a careers day for students. 70+ volunteers, and a vast array of careers (including some with much more exciting uniforms than a suit)!

Attending TGS was a massive influence on my life: the academic excellence, high quality careers advice and encouragement as I went out into the world. Thank you for having me back, it was fabulous!
