Ana is finalist in Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Awards

Mrs Crean, TGS Alumna Victoria Hislop and I were delighted to be guests of Ana at the Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Awards in London.

She was shortlisted as a finalist for her work in the TGS Library supporting other students, creating a wonderful 'World Map of Books' on our windows and for her advocacy of our Library.

There were some truly inspirational young people, doing brilliant things in their schools, and the competition was fierce. Although Ana did not win the overall prize, I hope that she felt she'd won by being there, meeting so many fantastic authors and bringing home a huge haul of books.

Our library would not run without the hard work, enthusiasm and very creative ideas of our students and it was such a pleasure to be able to recognise this.  What a fantastic start to the final week of our Reading Matters March
