Sixth Form Physicists compete in national BPhO (Physics Olympiad) competitions

Y12 and 13 students have challenged themselves by partaking in various national BPhO (Physics Olympiad) competitions, including:
Year 13 Physics Challenge
Some of the Y13 Physicists chose to sit the Y13 Physics Challenge in December to really test their application of the subject. They did themselves proud with half of them achieving a merit. Like the Y12 Challenge, the questions proved interesting and yet very challenging. I wish them (and the rest of their class) all the best as they move onto their IB exams in the next few weeks.
Year 12 Physics Challenge
All of the Physicists in Y12 sat the Y12 Senior Physics Challenge this March and we were very pleased that two of them (Melanie and Rex) were awarded Silver and 15 students were awarded Bronze. I would like to congratulate them all on their effort and achievement.
I would like to congratulate students for their efforts and hope that they enjoyed applying their knowledge to a different type of question, often based on real-life scenarios.
