Geography

The Geography Curriculum provides students with the opportunity to explore the world and their role within it using social, economic, environmental, and political perspectives. In order to understand the complex relationships between society, nature and the physical world, students study a variety of topics through a series of reoccurring themes; physical geography, social and economic change, climate and biomes, population and demographics and sustainable development.

Geography promotes curiosity, creativity and critical thinking to enable students to explore and examine global issues, to recognise the role of physical processes and human actions on people and place and to investigate the possibilities and limitations of solutions. Through the study of geography students are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and skills to assist them in becoming responsible, global citizens.
